From 7-9th November 2018, members of the Toronto Science Policy Network attended the 2018 Canadian Science Policy Conference (CSPC) in Ottawa. The team attended various sessions, learned about emerging science policy issues, offered trainee perspectives in various discussions, and met both with individuals and organizations active in the Canadian science policy field.
Notably, the TSPN team met with the Min. Kirsty Duncan (the Honorable Minister for Science and Sports ), Dr. Mehrdad Hariri (the founder of the Canadian Science Policy Centre) and the Science & Policy Exchange team (i.e. our science policy counterparts in Montreal).

We would like to thank the University of Toronto’s Chemistry department for offering financial support to TSPN members in the Chemistry Department to make this conference attendance possible.
Be sure to keep an eye out for a CSPC interview with TSPN executives Ellen Gute & Molly Sung! We’ll share it once it’s live.
